НЕВІДКЛИЧНА ЗГОДА

Наша Громада святкує свій Храмовий Празник на Свято Різдва Пресвятої Богородиці за звичаєм Собору Святої Софії в Києві в Україні. Ми врочисто відзначуємо Божу Премудрість, Софію (так кажемо премудрість по-грецькому).

Це Божа Премудрість створила все видиме й невидиме. Цією Премудрістю Бог поєднався навіки зі Своїм створінням через Втілення Другої Особи Пресвятої Тройці, Бога Сина, Який став Ісусом, Сином Марії та Йосипа, теслі, що був для Нього чудовим опікуном.

Божа Премудрість усіх нас поєднала цим Втіленням Бога-Слова та всім, що від цього Боговітілення випливає, цебто служіння Ісуса завершене Його жертвою на Хресті, Його смертю та воскресенням, Його вознесенням та зісланням Святого Духа. Ми – всі родина, всі частина одне одного!

Наколи ми осягнемо свідомість цієї радісної та чарівної таємниці, то ми замінемо свою відсіченість солідарністю з кожною людиною, а зокрема зо всіма тими, що нас окружують у нашому щоденному житті.

Ми теж знайдемо, що той час, котрого дав нам Господь – не просто щось таке, що постійно безповоротно втікає та залишає нас зменшеними, сумними та розбитими. Ми знайдемо, що ми вже тепер знаходимося у вічності, де вічно пробуває Бог, наш Батько, разом з рештою нашої родини видимої й невидимої.

Чи можете собі уявити, як ця свідомість допоможе нам діяти в цьому світі з відвагою, з любов’ю, з милосердям та зі щедрістю? Ми можемо знайти, що наше життя – щось дійсно прецінне та славне, щось таке, що сяє славою нашого Творця!

Святкуймо народження тієї, що відкрила двері до цієї таємниці своєю невідкличною згодою стати спільницею з Богом у цьому чині, яким Він вчинив Своє творіння Своєю родиною. Святкуймо початок дій Божої Премудрості.

Звертаючись до неї ми знайдемо спокій та радість, що походять від передачі себе Його всесильній, всемогучій Любові.

AN IRREVOCABLE YES!

Our community celebrates its patronal feast day on the Feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God. This follows the tradition of the Cathedral of Divine Wisdom, Holy Sophia, in Kyiv, Ukraine. We celebrate the Wisdom of God.

It is Divine Wisdom which created all things visible and invisible. It is this most holy Wisdom by which God is forever wed to His creation through the Incarnation of the Second Person of the Trinity, God the Son, Who in the fulness of time became Jesus, son of Mary and Joseph, the carpenter who was His marvelous guardian.

It is Divine Wisdome which has wed all of us together by this Incarnation and all that flows from it: the ministry of Jesus, crowned by His sacrifice upon the Cross, His death, His resurrection, His ascension and the sending of the Holy Spirit. We are all family – all part of each other!

If we can attain the consciousness of this joyous and glorious mystery we can replace our isolation by solidarity with each human being, especially with those who surround us in our daily lives.

We can also find that the time which God has given us is not simply something which flows away like the sand in an hour glass, leaving us diminished, sad and desolate. We can find that we have already entered eternity – where God our Father dwells continually together with the rest of our family visible and invisible.

Imagine how this consciousness can help us act in this world with courage, with love, with mercy and generosity! We could experience our life as something truly precious, exciting and brilliant – shining with the glory of our Creator!

Let us celebrate the birth of the one who opened the door to this mystery for us by her irrevocable “Yes” to God – the one who thereby became His partner in this work by which He and His creation became family. Let us celebrate the beginning of the works of Divine Wisdom.

Turning to Her we shall find the peace and joy that comes from surrender to His all powerful Love. Amen.

UN OUI IRREVOCABLE

Nous célébrons notre fête paroissiale à l’occasion de la fête de la Nativité de la Mère de Dieu selon la tradition de la Cathédrale de la Sagesse Divine, Sainte Sophie, à Kyiv. Et nous fêtons justement la Sagesse de Dieu.

C’est cette Sagesse Qui a créé toutes choses visibles et invisibles. Et c’est cette Sagesse Qui a pour toujours lié Dieu et Sa création par l’Incarnation de la Seconde Personne de la Trinité, Dieu le Fils, Qui est devenu Jésus, fils de Marie et Joseph, Ses gardiens merveilleux.

En effet, la Sagesse nous a tous rassamblés et liés ensemble par cette Incarnation et tout ce qui en procède: le ministère de Jésus qui s’est accompli par Son sacrifice sur la Croix, Sa mort, Sa resurrection, Son ascension et l’envoi du Saint Esprit. Nous sommes tous d’une même famille.

Si nous pouvions accéderà la conscience de ce mystère joyeux et glorieux, nous pourrions remplacer notre isolement par une solidarité avec chaque être humain, surtout avec ceux qui nous entourent.

Aussi nous trouverons que le temps qui nous est donné n’est pas quelque chose qui nous échappe en nous laissant diminués, tristes et désolés. Nous trouverons que nous sommes déjà rentrés dans l’éternité, là où demeure Dieu notre Père, et le reste de notre famille visible et invisible.

Imaginez comment cette conscience nous aidera à agir avec courage, avec amour, avec miséricorde, avec générosité dans ce monde! Nous trouverons que notre vie est vraiment quelque chose de précieux, d’excitant, de resplendissant pour la gloire de notre Créateur.

Fêtons alors la Nativité qui a ouvert la porte à l’accomplissement de ce mystère par son “oui” irrévocable à Dieu, fêtons d’être Son partenaire dans cette oeuvre qui pour toujours unit Dieu à Sa création par ces liens familiax. Fêtons le commencement des oeuvres de la Sagesse Divine.

Tournons-nous vers Elle. Trouvons la paix et la joie de la soumission à Son Amour Tout-puissant. Amen.
