Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!

Our Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada has been a member of the Canadian Council of Churches since 1946. His Eminence Metropolitan Yurij served on the governing board for several terms in the 1990’s and into the 2000’s, including serving a term as a vice-chair of the governing board. Frs. Ihor Kutash, Jaroslaw Buciora, and Walter Makarenko have also served on various commissions of the Canadian Council of Churches over the last 20 – 25 years.

Yesterday, “we” (Orthodox Christian member churches of the CCC,) were greeted by the Rev. Peter Noteboom, the General Secretary on our Pascha – please see the greeting below.

Today, the “Faith and Life Sciences Reference Group on Covid-19” released the attached statement (prepared for release before the tragic incident and loss of life in the shootings in Nova Scotia, including one member of the RCMP.)

His Eminence Metropolitan Yurij blesses and encourages us to forward this greeting on Pascha, and message of counsel and encouragement as widely as possible in your parishes and beyond.
